Blog: Aptus and Sage Foundation – What we’ve been up to

In case you missed our announcement blog, Aptus has joined the Sage Foundation Partner Program! As a part of this program, we have committed to encouraging and empowering our staff to take part in Sage Foundation fundraising activities, and volunteering and fundraising here in our community.

Sage Foundation supports tens of thousands of people in our local communities through more than 1,000 charities. Sage Foundation invites all colleagues and partners to take five paid days a year to volunteer or fundraise for a charity close to their hearts.

So far, we’ve fundraised for Can:Do 4Kids through their Loud Shirt Day, and some of our team took part in Movember. Can:Do 4Kids provides life-changing services for South Australian kids who are deaf or have hearing needs, as well as offering support to their families, they rely on funds raised through Loud Shirt Day to provide these services.

Movember aims to bring awareness to men’s health issues, including mental health and cancers. Sometimes, men aren’t open about their physical and mental health and choose to “tough it out” which leads to suicide and preventable diseases worsening. Joe, Socrates, Cliff, Guillaume and Serge grew some fabulous moustaches to help raise money for this important cause, and Julie and Helen ran over 360kms!

Here at the office, we’ve been reflecting on the importance of volunteering, why it’s so important to us, and where we’d like to volunteer in the future, and we’ve just confirmed our first volunteering day! On the 2nd of March, our team will be volunteering at Foodbank.

We can’t wait to share stories from our volunteering days and fundraisers with you. Check out our LinkedIn and stay tuned for more updates.
