The next quarterly update of the Sage Intacct platform is due to be released on May 12 2023. Check out the details below on what new features are being introduced 2023 Release 2:
Sage Intacct now allows you to securely lock closed statutory reporting periods to ensure your records for the period do not change – thus remaining consistent with reports generated during that period.
To help increase your organisation’s overall efficiency, Release 2 has added new permissions that allow Employee users to view all order entry and purchasing transaction types. This includes quotes, orders, AR sales invoices, shippings, and returns.
Intacct can now pay individual AP purchase invoices directly from the AP purchase invoices list in companies (where multiple currencies are enabled). All you have to do is click on the Pay link (as shown in the image below).
When you click on this button, a Pay AP purchase invoice popup opens and prompts you for payment options, such as the payment method and bank. You can choose to pay the AP purchase invoice immediately or add it to the outbox for later payment.
Release 2 now allows you to drill into a customer name from the Customers list – opening a customer record within the same window.
Intacct now allows you to control the dating of bank transactions based on the time zone of the bank account. This avoids time zone anomalies that can occur with bank transaction dates (and transactions generated from creation rules). Please note that this feature is currently part of Sage’s Early Adopter program (please contact us if you would like to learn more about this program).
For companies created using the Service Industry QuickStart template, there are new dashboards now available in the Dashboard Library to help people in specific roles get the information they need. These dashboards cover roles such as AP Manager, AR Manager and CFO.
With Release 2, Intacct users can now analyse data more quickly and directly by drilling down through account groups to transaction level details. These details are displayed in a General Ledger report.
TPAR Now Available in Australia
For Australian users, Sage Intacct Release 2 now enables you to generate your Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) based on payments made to applicable suppliers. Please note that these reports will require changes to your permissions and updates to your supplier records (contact us if you would like to discuss this further).
As with previous Intacct Releases, some of these improvements will lead to changes in configurations and permissions, so be sure to speak to your Account Manager about enabling them.
